This oil has a sweet, rich, warm, spicy, penetrating aroma with a fruity top note and a woody base note. The bud is safer to use than the leaf due to its lower eugenol content. Never to be used directly on the skin or in large concentrations. If you have a lull in your date, the warm aroma of Clove essential oil can inspire activity and action. It can be used to make a fragrance pomander when combined with an orange. These were given as gifts in Victorian England, it was meant to serve as a gesture of friendship and convey sincere warmth of feeling.
